How to use blocks (editing an offering, page or article)

Adding and editing content in Course Hub is managed via our block editor.

Blocks are pre-designed components that you can populate with content (text, images, video) in order to provide information about offerings or communicate a message on a page.

The current list of blocks available include:

  • Heading
  • Text
  • Image
  • Video
  • Text and image
  • Quote and author
  • Intake selector
  • Bulleted list
  • Accordion
  • Program
  • File download
  • Iframe
  • Code

To begin adding content, click on the 'Add block' button and choose on of the block types.

Each block will have different fields to complete. The text block, pictured above requires the text area to be completed. If you add a title, then this will be displayed as a heading prior to the text content.

Continue to add blocks and content until you have finished adding all of your information.

Managing blocks

  • If you no longer require a block, you can delete the block by clicking on the 'bin' icon for that particular block.
  • You can re-arrange the blocks by clicking anywhere on the block aside from the input fields and dragging it up or down. This will move the block and re-order the content.
  • You can collapse and expand blocks to make it easier to re-arrange. Clicking on the icon that looks like a square will expand the block and clicking on the icon that has two arrows will collapse the block. Clicking on the icons to the right of the 'Offering information' heading will expand or collapse all blocks.
