Add a coupon

After logging in, go to Marketing / Coupons.

Click Add Coupon in the top right of the screen.

Add a campaign name for the coupon. This can be used to connect the coupon to wider marketing activities, such as emails and social media and facilitate reporting on effectiveness of these campaigns.

Select coupon type from the options: Bulk or Single.

Bulk coupons are used to share distinct coupon codes with a group of individuals, for example an organisation that has arranged training for a team and each individual team member needs to be able to enrol onto the course. Single coupons allow you to create a code that can be used by anyone to receive a discount, for example an end of year 15% campaign across all offerings in your catalogue. You can find out more about the difference between bulk and single coupons.

If you select single coupon, you can create a coupon code and optionally set the 'redemption count', a maximum limit the coupon code can be applied, for example for the first 100 purchases. You can leave the redemption count blank to set an unlimited coupon.

For bulk coupons, create a common coupon prefix. This sits at the start of every unique coupon code generated. You will also need to set the number of coupons. This works in the same way as the maximum limit for single coupons.

Select type of reduction: Percentage or Dollar

There are two options for the type of discount that is applied through the coupon, either a percentage of the total offering price or a fixed dollar amount.

Once these details are confirmed, press next in the top right of the screen.

You will then be able to set the start and end date for the coupon to remain active, along with the offerings and intakes it can be used for.

Please note: If you leave these options blank, the coupon can be used on all intakes and all offerings for an unlimited time period.

Once you're happy with these details, press save in the top right of the screen to activate the coupon.

Once activated, you can delete the coupon, edit coupon details and download reports about coupon usage by clicking on 'Actions' in the top right of the screen.
